A Swedish Gaming Firm has appointed Franzen as its new IT Director – iGB
The Swedish Gaming Firm has declared Mikael Franzen as the company’s new Information Technology Director, succeeding Jorgen Olofsson.
Franzen currently serves as Vice President of the Swedish Gaming Firm’s Sports and Casino subsidiary, managing its B2B pool betting operations. He will assume his new position on September 1, 2019, joining the operator’s executive team and reporting directly to CEO Patrick Hofbauer.
“I am very pleased to welcome Mikael Franzen to the new position of Information Technology Director,” stated Hofbauer. “I am also proud that we located an internal candidate [for the role] as it demonstrates the strong expertise we possess within the business.
“Mikael has broad experience within the Swedish Gaming Firm and the gambling industry, which will be very beneficial for the continued growth of our business,” he added.
Franzen has been working in the gambling sector since 1993, initially joining Penninglotteriet, which later combined with state-owned gambling operator Tipstjänst to form the Swedish Gaming Firm in 1997. Since then, he has held various positions within the company, participating in the development and launch of its online gambling operations.
