The American Gaming Association (AGA) has brought on Maloney, a former top executive for the Washington Commanders, to join their group.
Maloney will be the new senior vice president of strategic communications, managing all of the organization’s communications, research, marketing, and public relations.
Maloney will begin his new position in January 2024. He comes from the Commanders, where he was the vice president of public affairs and strategic communications since December 2020.
Before that, he was a partner at the public affairs firm Locust Street Group. He also held leadership roles at Dewey Square Group and worked for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
Maloney also worked on the John Kerry presidential campaign from 2003 to 2004.
“I’m thrilled to join the AGA and their team at such a vital time for the gaming industry,” Maloney stated. “The future appears promising, and I’m eager to share the positive impact of legal gaming nationwide.”
William Miller, the head and chief executive of the American Gaming Association (AGA), expressed his enthusiasm about Joe’s arrival at the AGA to direct their exceptional communications group. Joe, a seasoned professional, has confronted significant public affairs difficulties throughout his professional journey.
The AGA will not only gain from his extensive experience and unwavering advocacy but also from his passion and energy as a fervent supporter of the casino gaming industry, who will immediately begin working effectively.
