The AFA stated the collaboration will be central to its strategy to enhance fan engagement and visibility across all levels of Argentine football.
“The Argentine Football Federation is one of the most esteemed and prestigious organizations in global football,” said Brilliant Sports CEO Mark Locke.
Its a tremendous privilege to be chosen by them to participate in this significant undertaking, combining our expertise in real-time data, streaming, production, and media. This demonstrates the excellence of Genius Sports and the effectiveness of our planning.
As part of the agreement, Genius Sports will install GeniusLive+ cameras in over 100 locations, capturing high-quality video for AFA’s streaming service. Genius Sports will collaborate with Pixellot and La Corte, an Argentine firm, to produce all the GeniusLive+ events, enabling AFA to stream over 2,000 new matches from eight tournaments annually.
The company’s betting monitoring system will also oversee and safeguard operations, comparing betting patterns globally with specialized algorithms to automatically detect any suspicious activity.
AFA President Claudio Tapia stated, “As a leading football organization worldwide, one of AFA’s primary objectives is to maximize our digital assets through new partnerships, creating innovative revenue streams. We are expanding our reach to new audiences and forging more business alliances.”
Genius Sports has also collaborated with the English Premier League, the Colombian Dimayor, and the German Football Association, as well as major leagues in the United States, such as the National Football League.
