AstroPay, a well-known digital payment service, recently introduced a prepaid Mastercard in Brazil. This initiative enables AstroPay customers to make purchases globally wherever Mastercard is accepted. This collaboration is a major milestone for AstroPay, providing them with a strong presence in the rapidly expanding Brazilian digital economy.
Activating and using the cards is free. Additionally, users will benefit from advantages such as cashback incentives and access to special features within the AstroPay platform. Customers have the choice of using a physical card for face-to-face transactions or a virtual card for online purchases and cash withdrawals.
Guillermo Dotta, Chief Technology & Product Officer at AstroPay, stressed the company’s dedication to offering Brazilians straightforward and secure payment options. He emphasized that this launch aligns with AstroPay’s wider goal of continuous innovation and service enhancement, ensuring they not only satisfy but surpass customer anticipations.
Thiago Dias, Mastercard’s VP of Fintech and Enablement for Latin America and the Caribbean region, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration. He remarked, “Mastercard is dedicated to being the preferred partner for financial technology companies. Working alongside AstroPay on this groundbreaking solution presents a remarkable chance to advance financial accessibility and deliver a smooth and protected user journey.”
